Community Brew & Tap

The Community Bank & Trust building was built in 1901, home to the bank for over a century before we stepped into its history.  While removing the original plaster, the team discovered 120 years of history in original brick walls, murals, and wood rafters. An antique bar was acquired, restored, and installed in the lower level bar while the original bank vaults are used to create passages through wine displays to the main dining rooms. Tufted leather booths and whimsical beaded wallcoverings (yes, that is IS a tiger’s tail) lie below Swarovski crystal chandeliers to create a prohibition-era speakeasy vibe for high-end steaks and smoked cocktails. Spanning two stories of historic preservation, every detail was thoughtfully considered, every artifact and accessory carefully curated to create this memorable experience in the heart of North Georgia.
